Nurture Your Wellbeing  •  Gain Profound Insights  •  Enhance Your Practice

Breathwork is more than just inhales and exhales; it’s a gateway to psychological resilience and vitality.

Join us for a six-week, online workshop with facilitator Rebeca Brau Martinez. This experiential course will shed light on the profound significance of breathwork in bolstering wellbeing, grounding, and cultivating presence.

Studies demonstrate that mindful breathing lowers stress hormones, promotes emotional regulation, and enhances cognitive function, all indispensable tools for clinicians.

75 minute sessions will cover:

  • The basic mechanics of breath and the science behind breathwork
  • Potent breathing techniques that will empower you to reduce stress and boost energy levels
  • The fascinating connection between breathwork and the Polyvagal Theory

Clinical Objectives-

By the end of the course, clinicians will be proficient in applying breathwork and meditation techniques for their personal wellbeing and be capable of integrating these practices into their clinical work effectively.

Description: Clinicians will actively engage in experiential learning, exploring a variety of breathwork and meditation methods. They will gain firsthand experience of the benefits of these practices for stress reduction and self-care. Additionally, they will learn how to incorporate these techniques into therapeutic settings to support clients’ mental health.

Clinicians will develop a heightened awareness of the mind-body connection, enhancing interoception skills and grounding techniques for themselves and their clients.

Description: Through experiential exercises and self-reflection, clinicians will deepen their understanding of the mind-body relationship. They will cultivate interoception skills to connect with their own physiological and emotional responses. This newfound awareness will enable them to teach clients how to use breathwork and meditation for self-regulation and emotional grounding.

Clinicians will demonstrate proficiency in recognizing and addressing potential risks associated with breathwork and meditation, while integrating trauma-informed practices into their interventions.

Description: This objective will encompass both theoretical learning and practical application. Clinicians will study potential risks and contraindications of breathwork and meditation. They will also gain insights into trauma-informed care principles and how to adapt practices to ensure emotional safety for clients with trauma histories. Clinicians will leave the course equipped to provide trauma-sensitive breathwork and meditation interventions.
