Featured teacher at PSI’s Summer Certificate Program in “Spiritually-Informed Psychotherapies”: Dr. Charles D. Mayer, PsyD, MDiv, LMHC
This summer, PSI is once again offering our certificate program in “Spiritually-Informed Psychotherapies” to qualified clinicians interested in the sustained study of the many intersections between spiritual wisdom and psychological insight. NY State LMSWs, LCSWs, LMFTs, and LMHCs are eligible to earn 18.0 CE’s; NY State CASACs are eligible for 15.0 CE’s.
One of the teachers at this program will be Dr. Charles D. Mayer, PsyD, MDiv, LMHC. Dr. Mayer has a diverse background in music, pastoral ministry, teaching, and psychotherapy. His years of experience with religious congregations, both as leader and consultant, along with twenty-three plus years of systems-oriented psychotherapeutic work with couples, families, and groups inform both his instruction and practice. Dr. Mayer holds degrees from Oberlin College, Harvard Divinity School, and the Graduate Theological Foundation, as well as certifications in individual, marriage and family, and group psychotherapy from the Blanton-Peale Institute. He is an Episcopal priest, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Fellow of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
