Treating Mind and Spirit as One

This 10-week, online MBSR course will teach participants to relate to stress and suffering with more ease, as well as to cultivate resilience and emotional intelligence for themselves and clients served in clinical settings.

30 CECs available to NYSED certified LMSWs, LCSWs, LMFTs, LMHCs and LCATs, as well as clergy, chaplains, and others working in the mental health field.

ORIENTATION: January 20 or 27, 2-3 PM (required)
COURSE: Thursdays, 2pm-4:30pm, beginning February 3
RETREAT: Saturday, March 12 – 9am – 4pm

Reduced Rate– $650 (Available for students, PSI affiliates, and clinicians serving in institutional settings, e.g. schools, hospitals, rehab. and nursing centers, and in/outpatient mental health sites)


Craig Sloane is a psychotherapist in private practice in NYC and a qualified MBSR teacher through Brown University. Craig specializes in working with developmental trauma, addiction recovery, harm reduction psychotherapy, sexuality and life transitions. In addition to teaching MBSR Craig has facilitated community based mindfulness programs and corporate workplace mindfulness workshops.

Dharmachari Ananta is a certified Mindfulness teacher through Brown University and ordained Buddhist within the Triratna tradition. He has taught meditation and dharma for over fifteen years, is a guide and mentor to people training for ordination in his tradition, and has cumulatively spent three years on retreat. He recently taught mindfulness to under-served communities as part of a Fellowship with the Interfaith Center of New York.
