Shivam Gosai

Shivam is a psychotherapist who believes the therapeutic journey is not one of fixing perceived damages but of rediscovering the wholeness that has been there all along. He collaborates with clients to explore their inner worlds and partners with their best selves to achieve deep healing and emotional growth.

Shivam’s therapeutic approach centers around Depth/Jungian Psychology and Internal Family Systems (IFS). He also incorporates psychodynamic and attachment-based psychotherapy into his practice. Every session is spiritually and trauma-informed, taking into account the entirety of each client’s lived experience.

Shivam has always placed spiritual and emotional growth at the forefront of his life. As a young adult, he studied Hindu Spirituality (Advaita Vedanta) in a three-year intensive course at Arsha Vidya Gurukulam in South India. Upon returning to the United States, Shivam completed his M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Villanova University. He is currently a PhD student of Depth Psychology and has received advanced training in Internal Family Systems.

Shivam is a NY State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and sees individual clients in the state of New York through teletherapy and in-person at the PSI Fulton Street office.
